Applying to skeyes in Belgium?
skeyes (formerly Belgocontrol) is Belgium's civil air navigation service provider, providing ATC at Brussels Airport and across Belgian airspace. Belgium occupies one of the most congested airspaces in Europe, handling a disproportionately high volume of international traffic relative to its size.
skeyes uses the Eurocontrol FEAST battery for selecting trainee air traffic controllers. Given Belgium's dense traffic and the complexity of managing both en-route and Brussels TMA traffic, FEAST aptitude scores are taken very seriously in the selection process.
FEAST I assesses candidates across multiple cognitive dimensions: spatial reasoning, numerical reasoning, logical reasoning, multitasking and situational judgement. Each of these directly maps to tasks performed daily by skeyes controllers.
ATC Practice's practice platform covers all four cognitive test areas with full-length timed simulations, randomised questions and detailed answer explanations — everything you need to prepare effectively for the skeyes selection process.

Does skeyes recruit in English?
Yes. English is the language of aviation and the FEAST battery is administered in English. skeyes controllers also work in French and Dutch domestically, but the selection aptitude tests are conducted in English.
About the FEAST test
What does the FEAST test measure?
FEAST I measures the core cognitive aptitudes required for successful ATC training: spatial reasoning, numerical ability, logical/abstract reasoning, multitasking, memory and situational judgement. These are proven predictors of ATC performance identified through decades of Eurocontrol research.
How long is the FEAST test?
FEAST I typically takes 2.5–4 hours and covers multiple cognitive test areas. The exact duration depends on which sub-tests the ANSP has chosen to include. FEAST II (if used) adds 1.5–2 hours of interactive multitasking simulations.
How hard is it to pass the FEAST test?
FEAST is a competitive test — pass rates vary by ANSP but only a fraction of applicants advance. Candidates who prepare thoroughly across all cognitive test areas perform significantly better. Familiarity with question formats and timed conditions is a major advantage.
What tests does ATC Practice include?
ATC Practice covers Spatial Reasoning (40 questions, 20 min), Numerical Reasoning (40 questions, 20 min), Logical Reasoning (40 questions, 20 min), Situational Judgement (35 questions, 25 min), NDB Direction (24 questions) and Switch — a dual-task simulation. All tests are timed and full-length.
