What is the FEAST test?
FEAST — the First European Air Traffic Controller Selection Test — was developed by EUROCONTROL. According to EUROCONTROL it is used by 56 air navigation service providers and other organisations and has tested more than 150,000 candidates.
FEAST I: cognitive ability tests (such as decision-making, planning, memory, logical reasoning, visual perception, attention, multitasking and spatial orientation) plus an English listening and comprehension test (ELICIT), taking roughly 2.5 to 4 hours depending on which tests the organisation uses. FEAST II: one or two work-sample simulations (FEAST RADAR, formerly DART, and FEAST MULTI-PASS), about 1.5 to 2 hours each, needing no ATC knowledge. FEAST III: an optional personality questionnaire (FPQ).

Which organisations use FEAST?
EUROCONTROL's list of users includes air navigation service providers such as DFS (Germany), LVNL (Netherlands), Austro Control, skeyes (Belgium), Skyguide (Switzerland), LFV (Sweden), Avinor (Norway), PANSA (Poland) and the IAA (Ireland, whose air navigation functions are now AirNav Ireland), among others. In the UK, EUROCONTROL lists Global ATS (Cheltenham) as a FEAST user; NATS is not on its list. Always check with the organisation you are applying to.
Is the FEAST test the same everywhere?
No. Each organisation chooses which FEAST tests it uses and sets its own pass threshold. EUROCONTROL doesn't publish the names or content of the individual tests.
How should I prepare for FEAST?
